Hola dear Bere. I used a technique called HDR; High Dynamic Range. In short it's about taking 3 or more pictures at different exposures and then merge them to one picture. This more or less means that an HDR picture won't have any shadow areas that are completely black and won't have any blown out areas as the sky can be in some pictures.

Read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging

Thank you. BTW see this thread as inspiration: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=385080

Thanks for pointing the (really inspiring) thread! But there I didn't see such warm colours as in your photo, and that's what I like so much.

Oh :-). I think that has more to do with the photoshopping and motive of choice :-)

I Looooove the colours on this one. You gotta show me the processing some day :)

No problem. It's actually VERY easy when you follow the tutorial that comes with Photomatix Pro

I am so going to give it a try!

Cool :-). But be aware that HDR pictures can look way better than this if done properly :-D

@ Bere: never? HDR was some of the first things I heard about when starting about 1 1/2 years ago :-)

There is a great OpenSource software for creating HDR, called qtpfsgui. You can find it here: http://qtpfsgui.sourceforge.net/

I've played a bit some day ago with hdr pictures, when I'll get a decent one I will post it. Anyway it's a very interesting technique. It's Norrebro, it reminds me Christiania in some way...
istoyanov November 19, 2007, 11:12 PM
I've played as well and some quick 'n' dirty results are here and here. Thanks for the hint, Daniel!
PimpDaddy November 20, 2007, 07:17 AM
Oh yeah, qtpfsgui. I read about this on 23hq before but never got around to it. Dowloaded it and all.. Forgot all about it and the got Photomatix.
