My first attempt at some decent(kinda) HDR imaging of some flowers I gave my girlfriend recently.

Used the program Photomatix Pro. It's highly recommendable. I think it's easier to use than Photoshops' built in HDR converter. Link to the non-HDR version: http://www.23hq.com/PimpDaddy/photo/2428206

Edit: For some reason pictures look much richer in Photoshop on my MBP, so a better version of this HDR is to come :)

Funny - I was about to write a comment asking for a richer version of this HDR. It looks like you gained some dynamic-range, but lost too much of the shadows, leaving the shot looking a bit washed out. Probably a bit deeper shadows would do the trick (as you no doubt have seen yourself).

Excactly :)

By the way. Regarding the shadows, I don't think I lost too much(of the range). If you compare it to the other picture, you can see that this has a much broader range. I only did this HDR with 3 pictures. I would have had to bracket some more or use more pictures if I had to get -all- the shadows.

The "Excactly" was to the last part of your comment :).

Pictures opened in the Preview app. in OSX looks different from pictures opened in PS CS3

I found a fix, Sværke. More specific check some of the --very interesting-- links Istoyanov posted here http://www.23hq.com/PimpDaddy/photo/2463392?album_id=2391034
