Wonderful closeup.... It's too bad so many hate this "weed". Have you ever sniffed the blossoms? They smell wonderful! It's no wonder many butterflies like them.... A shame that many states have slapped the "invasive" and/or "noxious weed" label on it.

Fiz, I always keep on hand, sealed jars of mullein. Put leaves in mixer, and grind the up . It works wonders for colds, sore throat, allergies etc. and not bad for tea. One of the finest herbs in so many ways. And it grows like weeds. The blossoms are very expensive and tasty. And in our area, there are lots of them In old days they made candles of them.
The list goes on and on.

Interesting info on the plant, Marvin. Don't think it grows this far south - never seen it here anyway. I love the bloom!

It grows almost everywhere ! (But not in the bay-swamp) look for a tall, 6-9 foot single stem plant with small yellow flowers. Then tell me you found one. Look on the land that's on the dry side. Hills, oh, but you don't have hills, well just keep looking.
