@Sonja: The rock formation is called Dyrhólaey and it is a bird sanctuary. There will be some pictures of, on, and from it soon.

@Sonja: There are plenty of puffins during the right season but they don't stay for the winter. Although I have already seen some, I am yet to take a picture of one.

Ah, there is nuffin' like a puffin, as they say, although a razorbill or murre is already cute enough. Flying tiny penguins....:o)
I hope to get finally a bearable puffin shot during the next vacation, too. So far I was never that lucky. I saw one once years ago, on Runde in Norway, but it was peeping out of it's hole far away on the opposite cliff and there was an awful rain and wind, no chance to get any recognizable shot.
