The Cat Pole!
That's Mr. Fuzzy up on top. The Cat Pole is something I built out of two cheap cat trees we bought at Walmart. It's securely bracketed to the false wall between our dining room (right) and our living room (left). As you can see, the wall ends just above the top of the pole. That has always been the cat's "up high" place, which they reached by climbing on bookcases and jumping. The Cat Pole is a safer, saner way for them to get up there, and also get some exercise and enjoyment from in its own right. You should see them come running in from the garage at full gallop and go straight up the pole to the top like it was nothing. |
