This is Mr. Fuzzy, AKA: Weazie, AKA: His Royal Fuzzyness Prince Weasious the First (you may kiss the paw). We generally call him Fuzzybutt, though Weazie is the name he came with. He's a full blooded Maine Coon who happened to be the runt of the litter, and never really gained weight. We found out later this was due to a problem with a portion of his intestines that has since been surgically corrected.

We got Mr. Fuzzy through an ad on Freecycle (like Craigslist but everything is free). The gentleman we got him from said he'd been bought as a gift for his grown daughter but shortly afterwards his daughter had to move back in with him, and Mr. Fuzzy was not getting along with the 12 year old cat they already had. To top things off, they were renovating the house and it was just too dangerous to have him underfoot. So, on a dark and stormy night (really, it was - it was pouring, and well after midnight) I met the man in the parking lot of a nearby home improvement store and brought him home. That was 8 years and two stomach surgeries ago, and he's now grown a lot (he's over 4 feet long from the tip of his tail) but barely weighs 8 lbs. Our vet says he's fine, but my wife and I wouldn't mind if he put on a pound or two.
