✎ The Episcopal congregation which calls this church home was founded in January 1835. The congregation has taken up residence in three diff't locations over the years since. The most current one (pictured here) was designed by Bertram Goodhue in the Byzantine Revival style. While the foundation stones were laid in 1917, Goodhue would not live to see the church completed in 1930. It was named a NYC Landmark in 1967, added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1980, and designated a National Historic Landmark in 2016.
