✎ A yellow flowered selection of the cross between the American Cucumber Magnolia (M. Acuminata) and Chinese Yulan Magnolia (M. Denudata). The original cross was made in 1956 at and patented in 1977 by the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The name honors Elizabeth Van Brunt, a patron of the garden.

A nice and very classy looking tree. But that latin....

In the good old times before thumbnails, you could have labeled it in a way of casual translation and enjoy endless downloads of your "sharpnude. zip" file. ;o)

This magnolia is a new one for me, I like the crumpled look in the bud. the color too, is wonderful.
