✎ Opened on October 1, 1931 as the world’s largest and tallest hotel and remains one of the world’s largest Art Deco buildings. The hotel is now part of the Hilton empire. There's even a "secret", long abandoned train platform beneath the famous hotel with an armored train car that sits at the station.
