Great job. My husband tried to digiscope the tiny planet too, how it stood below the moon last night, but something, likely tremor on the hill below the tripot and the humid air from the lake inbetween made it all unsharp.

Thank you Sonja for your comment and fave.
We were not lucky with the full blood lunar eclipse because it was a bit cloudy though later on much better but then the eclipse was over. Now more than 100 years to wait for another full lunar eclipse….

Here at the moonrise the contrast was also very poor,, due to all the warm water in the direct south and our equipments are a tad less well suited anyway. I got an affordable line DSRL but no mount for the tripod, Karl a point-and-shot with an adapter for our birding scope. Vorarlberg had a few electric storms across, the lake looking wild and interesting from Haldenberg behind Friedrichshafen but not much of a help either with the non-predictable light effects and just not to take shots of either.
In the "Spiegel" customer photos released yesterday where several really stunning area shots by other people never the less. I wonder where they got that great contrast. I had trouble to even find the moon in the viewfinder at first as I could just make it out with the bare eye in the dusk, and later on it had the colour of a dirty sweet potato, no really bright pink or orange. :o(

Well Sonja, we must wait until the next ordinary lunar eclipse - partial though. It is never easy to photogaph natural phenomenas when they are planned.
