Karl Nielsen
Karl Nielsen born 12. August 1901 in Langaa, Fyn, Denmark. Died in Copenhagen, Denmark 16. November 1991.
His parents: His father was Niels Peder Nielsen (* 20. October 1867, Langaa, Svendborg, Denmark and died 27. March 1937 in Langaa, Svendborg, Denmark) and Karl’s mother was Gjertrud Marie Hansine Hansen (* 22. October 1872 in Frørup, Svendborg, Denmark and died 10. January 1935 at Svendborg Sygehus, Svendborg, Denmark). Karl Nielsen worked at a lawyer office 1919-1923 in Svendborg, Denmark. He owned a fish shop at Bjergegade 29 in Helsingør, Denmark from 1923-1924. Worked in a bank, named Amagerbanken for 44 years from 1924-1968. Here he created a Personal society of Amagerbanken. He was a chairman for 15 years there. He had other interests such as hunting in his younger years, administration, politics, religion, knowledge and photography. He worked with administration of flats for rent from 1928-1979. He became a Baptist and was baptized at Kristuskirken, Copenhagen, Denmark 19. November 1939. He was member of the head board in the Baptist society from 1944-1966. He was member of the political party named Venstre for more than 40 years and became a member of honour. He had several trusted positions here such as cashier. He took several courses at the Folk University in subjects such as religion, latin and philosophy. In 1982-1984 he studied at Statens Studenterkursus, Frederiksberg, Denmark, and he became a student in 1984 (~ Upper Secondary School Leaving Examination, (~) A-levels, (am.) High School Certificate). He was the oldest student in Denmark and came in The Danish Guinness Book of Records and was also represented at the Guinness Book of Records museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. 1984-1991 he studied at University of Copenhagen following subjects: Culture Sociology, and Culture Geography and Biology. The photography interest he had since he was 10 years of age.
