Hi Nelly, All of these pictures are taken within 20 feet of my door. I live in the middle of millions of them, literally, for nine months a year. This is the main place in the whole canyon where they hang out and they have been here longer than me, some twenty five years.
Their habits and are hilarious and the photo ops are constant. Although they bite when they swarm on hot days in the early summer, they seem to understand that I am, to what degree I am needed, their keeper, and, being an honorary ladybug, I don't get bothered too much. They land on me in their little heat frenzy and as they go between the hairs on my arm for a bite of that salty farmer skin, they smell the guy who pulled a limp Dotty from the dog bowl, last week, and performed successful fingernail to butt resuscitation, and fly off again, Love to you for making me say this stuff...
