No, Sonja, she'll probably take the top back off before she goes back in.

LOL -- no I meant it seriously.

Mermaidsuit swim course and pool party here is all the rage for little girl birthdays, but I have yet to see a lass wearing one on a sport beach. I mean, the calmer the water, the less crucial it is for me to use the legs like a frog when I swim and float about. But in waves a surfer would bother with at all I would surely never put on a fluke suit and try to survive swimming with that handycap.

Understood, Sonja. In light of your unusual lack of levity, I am forced to give you a straight answer. Our mermaid is just a surfer with the top part of her wetsuit peeled down. I added the tail in post. It should have been longer and more beautiful, but it was taking really a long time and I was needing to sleep, so I just posted it knowing I could have done better. You can't see the suit because I cloned some other areas to cover where her legs came together, and cloned some of the sand to cover the area where the peeled down suit was piled up below her waist to give her natural shape back I just love it when I am being a big rascal and get away with it. But you have appealed to my irrepressible sense of truth and fair play. I'm busted...

Oh, I really thought ist a fluke suit with a mono fin as they are so trendy since they are featured in the media so often.
You, never saw stuff like that at a waterpark?

The website was very funny, Sonja. Last time I was at a waterpark was with my thirty-five-year-old who was then ten. It was so fun! One in five girls lost their top on the way down the water slide. I have never seen a fluke suit, except in a TV commercial.

Here fluke rentals and events spring up as side business of any comunity indoor pool. No matter if it is the 8th birthday, bachelorette nite or any sort of hen party, mermaid swim has become part of the options just like mini-golf, bowling, and similar activities.
Here is a german event service that does the tutorials and kids activities in different public pools, one of which we frequent for their sauna sometimes, so I have seen groups of their young paying mermaids whilst passing the the water-aerobics pool closed for other people during the events:
