Creeksong

I saw him going down the street the other direction on his back wheel as if he were driving a unicycle. Too bad, I thought. A missed shot. I started to put the camera away and get into the car when I saw him turn around. Quickly I uncapped the lens and stepped out from behind the car just before he rode by me. I didn't expect a trick, as there was barely time for him to recognize that there was a camera pointed at him. He knew I was hoping for a trick. Just as he was almost by me, he launched himself completely into the air. Thanks, kid, I thought. Gotcha.

I think a guy has to do that many times in learning. That's why I haven't taken up snowboarding yet! :-)
