The hurricane was all the way down in Mexico, but we got the big waves all the way up in Santa Cruz.

I'd rather not go play in the water at such awfully high waves. Better perch somwhere om dry land until it gets calm again. But then my skills for balancing on water are minimal, it's enough adventure for me to access a canoe to take a seat on a calm pond.

Great action shot! We get waves like this here, too... Though not quite as often. They are amazing to watch and fun to photograph =) As far as surfin' 'em.... High risk, high reward ;) Not for the novice, though, that's for sure.
