Creeksong

So, I've discovered that the hood on my raincoat isn't long enough to sufficiently keep the rain off my glasses and face. There's just too much hair in there. I've taken to wearing a ball cap to make it work. The two I have aren't great to look at without the hood covering them. One says Toyota Racing in red letters that match my coat, but it's a really cheap hat, made of thin material which buckles and wrinkles at the sides of the bill, and makes me look like a racing driver who's hit skid row. The other was a present from a friend. It is a nice thick, well made cap with a stiff bill. It looks pretty good, though it doesn't match my coat. Black and orange. The trouble is, it says SF in big orange letters in front and Giants on the side. Though I can, sort of, imagine myself, a burned out Toyota racer, a Giants fan? Never. I'm really not into baseball.
I had occasion to look at myself in the mirror, today, in the Toyota hat. Terrible! I took the delima to Nirtan. "Well", she said, That one definitely doesn't look very good. Probably use the Giants cap. It looks pretty good."
"There is one thing you could do to make it look better, though." The corners of her mouth raised, ever so slightly.
"What", I asked.
"Put a different guy under it."
