In order to get all the way to the East facing ridge, I had to go into forbidden territory. Although visiting cars were normally turned away. I had heard that hikers were occasionally welcomed, beyond the sign. I parked in the first turnout and set up the tripod, mounted the camera, dialed in the compass heading where the triple moon was to rise, and just stood there, stood there waving to about fifteen trucks and SUVs , as they went by.
