My question is, how did this bus come to its current resting place?

This used to be a Railway Express vehicle, 1949. They were produced only three years, and took packages sent by rail, from the station to their destination. It was converted into a house car, with kitchen toilet, shower, foldout bed, and a tiny wood burning stove that would completely cook the place out, and a covered back porch, where the propane tanks lived.
As I mastered more and more building professions, I required more and more tools on the jobs I did and acquired it for use as a work truck, in the early 90"s. Because it was a 6 volt electrical system, the starter turned the motor over very slowly, and it was extremely hard to start in the winter, without starting fluid, which blew a crack in the flathead 6 block, one morning. I had been given a job rebuilding a house on the street where we now live, that a tree had fallen through, so we moved up here, with our two young daughters, and lived in the truck , next to the creek, which became the source of my nickname, and worked on the house.
Soon after, we moved just down the street, to the house that you can see in my albums, here, where all the ladybugs reside, to this day. Although I had planed to replace the motor with a V8, I was too busy to get to it, as the new cabin needed rebuilding, too, and I pulled the truck across the creek with an even bigger truck which I had purchased as a work truck, and "Cosmo", as we had named this truck, sat where you see him pictured, used as a storage place for years after. Just this list winter, many landslides and trees came down, including the one laying on the ground next to Cosmo. When it hit the truck, the top 15 feet broke off where it hit, and smashed the hood. Have been trying to think what to do with it. The judges, here seem to agree that it makes a good photographic subject, as it faces, still another winter below a big Redwood tree.
Thanks, all, for your comments!

My pleasure! The point is creativity. Writing fills the bill as much as photography does. I appreciate your comments. Best to you.

Your old home! Remember touching the woodstove to see what would happen. Your little fingers blistered into bubbles immediately! I felt SO bad! Too bad there's only one way to learn that...
Thanks for your comments. Love you!
