Exceptional South African Holidays And Tours

South Africa has proved over the years, to be an affordable and accommodating travel destination, placing South African holidays and tours at the top of any thrill-seeker's, high-end shopper's, beach-lover's and nature enthusiast's list of "Places to See". In this country, luxury seems to cost relatively less, opening up a broad range of opportunity for deluxe entertainment and world-class encounters.

South Africa's natural splendor may be partially synonymous with Table Mountain in The Cape, where unmatched views of indigenous flora and fauna await. But there is so much more to see: sandy white beaches along one of the most awe-inspiring coastlines in the world and majestic forests along the South Coast. Even the vast expanse of desert brings with it, the interesting lives of the indigenous Khoisan people who inhabit the arid landscape still today.

Tourists seem to gravitate to South Africa during its hot, dry summer months, when its beaches are dotted by bronzed bodies and colorful umbrellas. During colder, winter months, the Mediterranean climate in the south, allows for the growth of lush, green areas of vegetation which stretch for miles. Agriculturally cultivated farms and wine-lands are popular destinations for secluded and serene accommodation and wine-tasting tours.

Its extremely diverse national community is formed by a diverse blend of cultures, traditions and belief systems, creating what has been fondly called, "The Rainbow Nation." Often referred to as being home to the friendliest people in the world, South Africa's eleven official languages are indicative of its unique cultural history and colonial influences.

South Africa's tourism industry is built around its natural resources and attractions, one of which are the number of private game reserves and national parks which have been declared protected environments for the free roaming of its indigenous wildlife. In addition, the friendly penguins and "dassies, " or rock rabbits are unique to the region and are its star attractions.

Travelling around South Africa is bound to unearth some of its historical richness. As with any country in the world, it is framed by its past, which is one of social struggles, the fight for democracy, and vast discrimination. It is also one of social victories and personal accomplishments, after its first democratic election in 1994.

For those travellers with a hunger for adventure activities, South Africa boasts a number of world-class destinations to get adrenalin pumping and experience unforgettable thrills. Among these activities are daring pursuits like bungee-jumping, abseiling, kite-surfing and cycling trips through the valleys and wine-lands of the countryside. Visitors often never leave without having a riveting experience up close and personal, with The Great White Sharks of Table Bay, while shark cage diving off the coast.

Leading up to the hosting of the soccer World Cup in 2010, the country's tourism industry has been boosted to unprecedented highs, evident in the establishing of world-class hotels and destinations. With an extremely focused goal of decreasing crime statistics, the quality and diversity of South African holidays and tours caters for any type of vacation requirement with cuisine offerings, accommodation settings and entertainment venues which are nothing short of world-class.
